Why meeting times across time zones are hard
A call that suits New York at 9 AM can be late evening in Singapore and early morning in Sydney. Most people guess, then send a message asking what time it is for everyone. This planner does that math for you, using the time rules your computer already knows, including daylight saving changes.
The timeline shows each city's working hours at a glance. Working hours (9 AM to 5 PM) are shaded green, early and late hours are amber, and night is grey. Each state also has its own icon, so the meaning is clear without relying on color.
When no time works for everyone, the planner suggests the best compromise and tells you how many cities fall outside working hours. You can then rotate the meeting to a different host city to share the inconvenience fairly.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find a meeting time across time zones?
Add every city your team works in, then look for the green band on the timeline. That band shows the hours when everyone is inside a 9 AM to 5 PM working day. If no full overlap exists, the planner highlights the window with the fewest people outside working hours and suggests it as a compromise.
Does this account for daylight saving time?
Yes. Every time is calculated with the browser’s built-in time zone rules for the exact date you choose. If one of your cities changes its clocks within seven days of that date, a warning badge appears so you can check the plan before you send it.
How many cities can I compare?
You can compare up to 10 cities or time zones in one plan. The first city in the list is treated as your home city, and the timeline is laid out around its day.
Is it free?
Yes. The planner, converter, time difference calculator, and time zone pages are free to use. There is no sign-up, no subscription, and no limit on how many plans you create.
Can I share the plan?
Yes. Every change updates the web address in your browser, so the link already contains your cities, date, and chosen time. Use "Copy share link" to send it, or "Copy invite text" to paste a summary into an email or chat.
What are the best hours for international meetings?
For most teams spread across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, the best window is usually the late afternoon for the European side and the early morning for the Asia-Pacific side. Use the green band in the planner to find the exact hours for your own cities, because the answer depends on which cities you include.
